When I started my first business in 2015 I had no idea what I was doing. I had been working for many years as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit so I never had to worry about being paid or having clients – I showed up to work and that was that!
I didn’t have a lot of extra money at the time to invest in a business program, so I started searching for all the free information I could find online and I started to see a pattern. Everyone would teach the same stuff over and over again – and leave all the truly helpful information locked behind a $2000 paywall.
I was frustrated.
It wasn’t that I “didn’t want it bad enough” or “wasn’t making the right things a priority” – I just didn’t have the money!
Fast forward a few years when my business hit the 6-figure mark and a number of my clients who had been through my group programs started reaching out to me to help them start an online business. And so The Solopreneur Survival Guide was born!
In 2019 I started the podcast and grew a membership community of new entrepreneurs to over 150 subscribers. I also started a marketing agency at the beginning of 2020 and both of these businesses ran successfully beside my main business for two years. Then, in early 2022 I realized that although I did enjoy the marketing agency and the community I had built – the marketing agency wasn’t for me as it was taking time away from doing what I really wanted to do and I made the difficult decision to close it down.
My motto has always been “If I’m going to do something more than once, might as well make a system and a template” so what you’ll find here on this site are those systems and templates that have been tried and tested over 50 different niches and have been proven to be successful. From a business coach helping lash bar owners grow their business, to non-profits, to virtual violin teachers, to physical therapists, to health coaches – the strategies and business theory I share on The Solopreneur Survival Guide Podcast and the templates and implementation guides will work for your business – guaranteed or I’ll give you your money back.
I decided to do this for a few reasons:
The app is the podcast – but better! (and yes, it’s still free).
I wanted to have some worksheets and the opportunity for you to ask questions about the information we talk about on The Solopreneur Survival Guide podcast. That, and I know that you’re busy likely working at least one other job while trying to start and grow your business, so you needed something that would travel with you wherever you had to go.
The app includes:
My personal podcast where I share real, raw and vulnerable life experiences that have helped me learn how to find a bit more calm in the chaos of life. I weave Vedic and Taoist philosophy in with my personal thoughts and always share a song that resonates with what we cover in the episode.
My high achiever is going to start to show, but this is another one of my podcasts where I talk about the science of stress, burnout and productivity. We dive into how capitalism, our modern way of life, technology, the generation gap, and many other things impact our ability to maintain our energy, motivation and focus.
If you want to recover your energy and optimize your habits so you can elevate your impact – this is for you! The app includes 15 minute yoga asana classes, short qigong practices, guided meditations, mindfulness, journal prompts, somatic release, digital self-care packages, pranayama breathwork and more.
